10 Months!

So Zach is 10 months. I’m not sure where the time has gone, but this kid is growing up. I tell Mikey every day I want Zach to stop growing up and he tells me (well screams at me) “MOM THAT’S WHAY BOYS DO!”.

So Mr. Zach this month.

-Zach has 2.75 teeth. He has two nice sharp little teeth on the bottom and two teeth poking through on the top. Considering his dislike for baby food (we havent even bothered offering it months) it’s time that he get a few more teeth.. you know to chew all that meat he insists on eating (I love that someday I will look back and think that was a joke).

-Zach is fast. You can set him down and before you have a chance to stand up he is off in the other direction. He prefers to head towards things that cause trouble… like toilets. We have to keep all the doors shut downstairs. One mistake and he is out the backdoor and heading to the back fence, in the toilet, or in the garage. The kid is fast and mischievous.

-He doesn't love to read books the same way that his brother did. Its interesting to see the difference between them. Maybe we read less to him, maybe he less interested because is a crazy person, not sure. When he does read he prefers to kiss the pictures rather than read the story.

-He gives kisses. Big slobbery kisses. I want to stop him, but then again I dont want to discourage his sweetness, so we all get big slobbery kisses.

-He really likes candy and donuts. I am sad to say he can recognize them. he doesn't get them often but he sure does like them. And he really does NOT like if you eat any of these things and fail to share them. That results in screaming… really

-He has started to stand up and let go. He’s at pro at cruising the furniture and pulling up on anything that seems slightly steady.

-He loves his puppy. He loves to snuggle it, shake it, kiss it, cuddle it, oh and smother himself with it. We have tried to get him a second puppy but as they dont make them anymore we had to get a stand in. He likes the stand in but not quite as much.

-He loves baths. When you take off his clothes he crawls to the bath as fast as possible and tries to get in (did I mention he’s a danger man).

-Zach has no fear. Nothing is dangerous in his mind, nothing is off limits, and nothing is impossible. If you block his way, remove him from the situation, or try to distract him it works for about 2 seconds or the amount of time it takes you to think you have won. Then as soon as you are reveling in your victory he takes off and does whatever dangerous thing he was planning to do in the first place. Needless to say most of our doors are shut and there are gates up EVERYWHERE in the house.

-He loves to play a game where he gets a ball, bites it, throws it, chases it, and starts the whole thing over again. He loves balls. If he doesn't have a ball he will look for something that can resemble a ball… pretty much everything fits into that category.

-Zach continues to like to sleep. It is great. Except at church because Zach is one of those children that likes to sleep in his bed- not in your arms so he cannot settle down and sleep, this makes those 3 hours of church (that fall nicely smack in the middle of naptime) seem very very very long.

-He likes food, pretty much all food. I think he favorites are broccoli (he can recognize this at the store), meat (I’m including chicken), and all fruits but especially strawberries, peaches, pineapple, grapes, and pears.

-He thinks his brother’s bike and scooter should be his. It is so funny to watch him ride.

-He chats all day long. He looks at you and chats, chats to himself as he plays, yells at his brother when he takes stuff away from him. Give this kid a few months and he will be chatting away just like the rest of us.

-He thinks his dad and brother are great. Really he adores those two.

-He can recognize a few words: all done, brother, mikey, kitty, food, drink, zach, bath, dad, and phone.

-He does not like it when Mikey goes to school and he is stuck in the car with just me. He really really does not like that. He is thrilled when we pick mikey up from school.

-He loves drinks. he loves his cup and he always wants a drink of whatever you happen to have.

We love our sweet crazy danger man!

Get ready for the photos, because there are a lot (thank you iPhone).
Zach loves the car on walks. I love how relaxed he looks.

though it is very hard to see in this picture we thought he looked like Grandpa Randy here. He has the plaid shirt and corduroy pants- very Grandpa Randy.

He loves this little bus, and sometimes he is lucky enough to have a brother that pushes him on it. Sometimes he's not so lucky and he gets pushed off, run over, or yelled at, but in this moment things were good.

he sits on the sidelines during soccer. He's not such a fan of this, he is always trying to throw his little ball on the field and play.

Yes this picture is blurry but that is because this is what you see when you go in to get Zach, craziness! And yes the mobile has been removed .

this is pretty much all day at our house. they love to wrestle and attack each other.

he thinks the oranges from the play kitchen are balls. Great for throwing.

funny scrunch face.

see he has a ball.

Michael thinks they need to be matching... all the time. Zach is to young to care. As you can see from this picture Michael also has no idea about personal space, his brother does. He often hits, swats, pinches, or screams at Michael until he backs up.

we have lots of gates up at our house. It's hard to see but he is trying to lift himself over the gate.

Isn't he cute. He really is.

he tried to escape one too many times at soccer and had to be strapped in. he was not pleased.

only thing that keeps him happy- snacks.

trying to scale the gate, or topple it, whichever comes first.

he really likes meatloaf and mashed potatoes. He does not want us to feed him ever... this is challenging, but we've found ways to make it work.

I looked in the rearview mirror the other day and saw this. Oh i hope they can stay friends.

loves drinks.

and donuts.

and dropping things off the stairs

and sand

and slides, and dad.

He does not like family pictures and I do not know why.

he thinks we are crazy.

poor kid, he looks horrified.

he's a fan of the play kitchen.

the new house- we have stairs!

he seems to like his halloween costume. He wants his when michael wears his.

pretty much the cutest super hero I've ever seen.
