Three Weeks!

Miss Grace is three weeks old! It's crazy, it has been a LONG three weeks, but not because of Grace (let's just admit that). Grace is such a sweet baby. She is (mostly) willing to wait "her turn". She sleeps... a lot... and alone (not always but enough that it is blissful). She is perfectly happy to be toted around as long as she is in the sling and not the carseat. She still hates getting her diaper changed (pretty much every.single.time) and she is starting to adjust to baths. Her brothers and dad think she is pretty great, I've caught all three of them just chatting or singing to her at various times over the past 24 hours. Her brothers' noise seems to be calming to her, she can sleep peacefully (and in the line of fire at times) through a lightsaber fight, nap time meltdown, or general screaming fit not problems. She is slightly restless during "quiet" hours, so we play her some music and she seems to find that relaxing, silence isn't her favorite. She is a very squeaky baby, I can't accurately describe the sound except that when she is asleep alone she makes this sound like she is stretching, which makes us think she needs something but she is totally asleep. She makes this sound repeatedly, stretches, might turn her head, and then continues (never waking) sleeping. She likes to have her arms free, if they are swaddled she will either free them from the swaddle or if that doesn't work, free them from her clothing, it's pretty hilarious.

Those cheeks are chubbing up! No really I think they are getting more squishy by the day, it's adorable.
 Best dad ever!
Sweet sleeping Grace. She does like the pacifier, but not to actually sleep. Arms must be free to sleep.
She loves to be cuddled. She sleeps amazing when you hold her... hours on end.
Wide awake. She's recently decided her brothers' "nap time" is a great time to be awake. Bad for me. I think it's the silence, she just can't sleep. Oh and her eyes... are turning brown (or black)- love it!
This is her reaction to a possible diaper change.
She loves the sling, this is how she looked throughout church yesterday. I've never had a child that enjoyed church so much. And fyi... she appears to have camel eyelashes like her brothers.
We spend a LOT of time like this. She likes the cover (thank goodness) and I've convinced the boys the cover is a zone of no touching... which much be why she likes it.

 surprise!
Cute Grace! Zach is pretty insisted that she wear a headband. It seems strange to me, but he is serious.

Two at the store, michael was there too, just not actually in the cart.
 Sleeping through a screaming fit.
She was sleeping in her bed (safely in her own bed out of the photo) during this... totally asleep.

screaming meltdown- best lullaby ever. The boys decided to play wild kratts with Grace, they were the Kratt brothers and she was a florida panther cub they had to feed- notice the play food.
If you look closely you can see that the panther cub is clutching some meat.
They love to chat it up with Grace. They prefer to touch her while they do it but this one day they had their own spots.

 Pretty much her life
Despite this picture she hates this thing

 my little work buddy.
