It's Official!

With the sad news of Brian's grandma passing away today I thought we needed a bit of cheer. We went for our 20 week ultrasound and it's official Michael is getting a baby brother! No doubt about it. I am thrilled! Mikey will have someone to wrestle with and I am going to be up to my elbows in dirt for the next 2 decades, no really I am excited! Everything appears to be going fine. This kid moves almost as much as his brother did (you can now see the little guy doing flips across my stomach), and I am pretty sure he hates sleeping...like his brother still does. He is measuring a week ahead, but Mikey did too, I dont think I am one of those people that grows 6 lb babies, but maybe.

Pretty sure this kid is going to like singing too, he kicks, flips, whatever like crazy when I am putting Mikey to bed and we are going to through all the bedtime songs (there are quite a few). Not sure what else but I am almost positive he is going to have to learn to talk quickly or Mikey is going to run his life.

we havent decided on a name yet, well we havent decided on a first name yet, but we are set on Henry as the middle name. We are thinking Andrew or Zachary as a first name, Mikey and I are pulling for Zachary, and Mikey is already referring to him as "my baby brother Zach". But we have 20 (let's say 19) weeks to go so lots can change.

Wahoo for another boy! So glad he is healthy and crazy already (i mean he would have to be a bid crazy to keep up with his older brother).

Merry Christmas!

We are planning on having a very exciting Christmas at our house this year. We are super excited to announce (to all three people that read this that have already been told) that we are expecting another baby! Yay, the due date is December 22nd, so it is possible that we will actually have a very exciting Christmas, though in all honesty I am hoping for something more around the 16th than 25th.  We had an ultrasound today, and a few things. First off, I think this kid is going to give his/her older brother a run for his money. The ultrasound tech told us this was the most active baby she had ever seen, my response was pretty much, well you should have seen Michael 2 years ago. The baby is healthy, but... crazy. She had such a hard time taking measurements with all the flipping, flailing, and somersaulting. Baby Zach is Here!

Baby Zach is here! Zachary Henry December 16, 2013 8:41am 6lbs 14oz 20.5 inches Sweet guy, he seems so tiny compared to Michael, and so so tiny compared to how big Michael is now. I think he looks a little bit like Michael, especially his mouth. He has less hair and his eyelashes are lighter, but he is still adorable. I know he has the newborn grey eyes for now, but they look lighter than the pictures of Michael at the same age. I am curious to see what he ends up looking like in a few weeks! The three boys. I can't believe we have two boys! We have to have one token labor picture. And as there is only one this is the one that gets posted. More on the labor later, but let's just say I wasn't loving life at this moment, waiting for the doctor to arrive was the longest half hour of my life, but we made it so yay!  So these are out of order, but this is Zach right after he was born. Genius Idea

So I have this idea, I think it is brilliant, and I am really hoping someone reads this and 1. tells me someone has already done it and where I can access it, or 2. someone steals my idea and does it close enough to me that again I can access it. Ok so here is the idea, first let me describe the situation. You are a parent with small children and it is a cold/hot/rainy/snowy/windy day/, someone is contagious/your kid fell asleep in the car/your kids are having a meltdown and taking them out of the car and struggling with the 5 point harness might kill both of you and you need milk from the grocery store. Normally you would try and get it at a better time, send a spouse, live without, etc, but you can't because you need milk (or bread or eggs, pick an essential item), so you have an internal debate... am I going to risk it, am I going to pull them out of the car, run in, find the item, wait in line, and come back and struggle to get everyone back in or are we going to live without...
