Great Wolf Lodge 2016
We were able to make our annual trip to Great Wolf Lodge earlier this month. The kids had a blast, and we all survived (though I was a little bit nervous we wouldnt before we left). We decided to break up the waterpark this year- we did one day at the zoo (maybe more like a half day), some time with my aunt and cousins (pretty sure this was the part the boys loved best), and we went on the Magiquest. Grace wasn't a huge fan of the waterpark, it's loud and nosy, and she doesnt like to be cold, but Brian was a great sport and kept the boys for most of the time so she only actually went in once.
This was our first year to do Magiquest- the magic wand game located throughout the hotel. It was a bit more complicated than I anticipated. My aunt and cousins came to play one day, and Michael loved having them there. The last day we opted out of the waterpark in an attempt to complete our quest... yeah the two little ones were not a fan of this idea when we learned it was hours (no really) more of climbing the stairs throughout the hotel for a button. Michael, however was thrilled and has worn his button every day since earning it.
Zach and Grace crashed pretty hard after the zoo.
Yes this was great .
It was impossible to get a picture of the three of them in their wolf ears
Of the 80 or so pictures I took this was by far the best. Oh and good news, while we were at the hotel zach lost his pacifier somewhere. I did eventually find it but kept it to myself. He was a little bit sad, but picked himself out something from the gift shop and hasnt looked back (too much) so we are done with Zach's pacifier!
We decided to visit the fort worth zoo while we were so close. It was the perfect day for it. They mostly loved it... you know until they didnt.
Grace screamed from Georgetown until Waxahachie... .it was amazing. She was ok if I sat with her and maintained eye contact.
The boys watched a movie and were thrilled.
The Magiquest room. We spent a really long time in here. This was the final treasure box, if you completed all the quests you could open this one special box. It looked like children may or may not have pried it open previously in an attempt to see what they were missing. This is the boys doing a happy dance that finally completed our quest.
Zach was not thrilled, he hung out in the arcade pretending to go on the rides. He just wanted to go home. Honestly after the second day when we went to the waterpark and the zoo he was pretty much ready to go, we'd done all the things he wanted to do he saw no reason to stay longer.Zach and Grace crashed pretty hard after the zoo.
