Last Night!

So tonight is our last night before Zach. Ok tomorrow is actually our last night before Zach, but since I am going into the hospital tomorrow night around 8:30 I am telling myself that tonight is the last night. How are we celebrating, well we aren't really, but Brian and I keep turning to each other and saying "I can't believe there are going to be two of them". Yes, as of monday evening there are going to be two kids in our family, overwhelming... yeah just a little bit. As far as celebrating we skipped the ward christmas party... ok maybe not our best move but it was the last night, had frozen pizza and salad for dinner (which really meant that michael had hard boiled egg whites and ranch dressing), and drove around to look at christmas lights, then we read quite a few Franklin books, and now... well now we are considering going to bed... before 10pm.

I have decided that our theme song for tomorrow night is going to be "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas. I don't generally listen to Black Eyed Peas but I do like the line that "Tonight's gonna be a good good night".  I mean clearly they weren't referring to having a baby, but we are pretending that they were and it is a peppy song so maybe it will get the ball rolling? Yeah not so much.

And since Zach is finally coming on Monday (whether he wants to or not thanks to Pitocin), I thought I would take one final pregnancy picture. I hate these, but since I waited until 39 weeks to take it, oh well right. So here is Zach at 39 weeks. He is clearly in there and it is clearly time for him to come out...


 And here he is again. I miss my toes... Well not that much because I plan to see them again shortly.

Merry Christmas!

We are planning on having a very exciting Christmas at our house this year. We are super excited to announce (to all three people that read this that have already been told) that we are expecting another baby! Yay, the due date is December 22nd, so it is possible that we will actually have a very exciting Christmas, though in all honesty I am hoping for something more around the 16th than 25th.  We had an ultrasound today, and a few things. First off, I think this kid is going to give his/her older brother a run for his money. The ultrasound tech told us this was the most active baby she had ever seen, my response was pretty much, well you should have seen Michael 2 years ago. The baby is healthy, but... crazy. She had such a hard time taking measurements with all the flipping, flailing, and somersaulting. Baby Zach is Here!

Baby Zach is here! Zachary Henry December 16, 2013 8:41am 6lbs 14oz 20.5 inches Sweet guy, he seems so tiny compared to Michael, and so so tiny compared to how big Michael is now. I think he looks a little bit like Michael, especially his mouth. He has less hair and his eyelashes are lighter, but he is still adorable. I know he has the newborn grey eyes for now, but they look lighter than the pictures of Michael at the same age. I am curious to see what he ends up looking like in a few weeks! The three boys. I can't believe we have two boys! We have to have one token labor picture. And as there is only one this is the one that gets posted. More on the labor later, but let's just say I wasn't loving life at this moment, waiting for the doctor to arrive was the longest half hour of my life, but we made it so yay!  So these are out of order, but this is Zach right after he was born. Genius Idea

So I have this idea, I think it is brilliant, and I am really hoping someone reads this and 1. tells me someone has already done it and where I can access it, or 2. someone steals my idea and does it close enough to me that again I can access it. Ok so here is the idea, first let me describe the situation. You are a parent with small children and it is a cold/hot/rainy/snowy/windy day/, someone is contagious/your kid fell asleep in the car/your kids are having a meltdown and taking them out of the car and struggling with the 5 point harness might kill both of you and you need milk from the grocery store. Normally you would try and get it at a better time, send a spouse, live without, etc, but you can't because you need milk (or bread or eggs, pick an essential item), so you have an internal debate... am I going to risk it, am I going to pull them out of the car, run in, find the item, wait in line, and come back and struggle to get everyone back in or are we going to live without...
