Zach's 4th Birthday Party
Zach finally got to have a party "all to himself". We have a rule that your first real party happens the year you turn 4. By then you have preferences and friends, and understand the concept of a birthday party. Zach has been planning his for MONTHS. He'd put almost as much thought into his party as Michael did into his Octonauts party. Zach wanted a "spooky Halloween costume" party. His birthday is 9 days before Christmas, so this seemed a little odd. He LOVES halloween. He can't get enough of the spookiness. the treats, or the costumes. I knew that with his love of halloween and his enthusiasm for life, we had to deliver on the halloween party at christmas.
He helped plan every detail. There were halloween cookies with spooky sprinkles to decorate, monster balloons to fight with, a huge box of costumes to try on, and an monster egg hunt. We pulled out our halloween decorations, and served donuts with monster teeth. He was in heaven, and so were his friends.
We made him this shirt to wear to the party. He loves both Halloween and Christmas, so we combined the two into one awesome t-shirt.
He was insistent we have a donut cake instead of an actual cake. We carefully inserted the teeth and attached the candy eyes.
Grace and Zach helped hide the monster eggs in the yard.
Zach and Grace were dressed early to greet their guests. We brought the inflatable grave inside because you know, Zach "needed" his grave.
The friends thought the egg hunt was so fun! Zach made sure the eggs contained slap bracelets, stickers, and halloween candy.
He loved his cake and that everyone sang to him.
His friends showered him with amazing lego- his absolute favorite thing!
