7 Months
Zach continues to be a sweet baby, but now he is starting to also show us that he has a crazy side. We’re hoping the sweet side tempers the crazy side, but that has yet to be determined.
SO a few things about Zach
-Zach adores Michael. He perks up when he heard him, tries to get his attention, wants to play, and just generally loves to be clobbered by his brother. This is a blessing because the feeling is mutual. I hope they can continue to feel this way as they get bigger.
-Zach does not like to be hot…at all. As soon as we get in the car he looks up at the vent above his head as if to say “cool me off!” When he is crying in the car if you just turn up the ac he calms down. Poor kid, this must be a suker trait.
-He loves the little slide we have, and can stay on the swings at the park for... awhile.
-He thinks Brian is the greatest thing since sliced bread. he will work hard to get his attention, and insists on doing all the crazy things his brother does with dad (getting thrown in the air etc).
-He does not think he needs to sleep in his own bed. No scratch that, he thinks our bed is his bed. He doesn't really care if you are there, he just NEEDS an entire queen bed to himself. I have been teasing Brian saying that when Zach transitions from his crib to a big bed (in a few years) we should just give him our bed and get a new one. We aren't really going to do this but Im pretty sure if we did Zach would be on board.
-He needs his sleep. Michael can power through the exhaustion, Zach doesn't even fight it, he cries until you put him to bed. He doesn't really need to be rocked and cuddled, he just needs to go.
-Zach thinks poop is hilarious. Every time I have to change his poopy bum he laughs like it is the funniest thing ever.
-Zach has developed quite the attachment to his puppy. This is great except I can’t even find another one on ebay. He carefully examines all the tags, shakes the rattle, and then rubs his nose with the satin side. Funny kid. He is ok with other alternatives, but this one is preferred.
-He can pick up small items and put them in his mouth. Great for blueberry pieces, less great for small objects his brother leaves around.
-He likes to swim and play in the bath, he prefers to be very crazy in both.
-He can almost get up on his knees and rock. He can turn around in a circle and sorta drag himself along, but no real crawling yet (thank goodness).
-He doesn't love pants. This is funny because his brother insists on being fully clothed all the time.
-He wants us to remain within his line of sight all the time. He doesn't care if we are with him but we need to be visible.
-He has a sword and he loves it. he thinks it is a chew toy but whatever.
We are excited to see how this little crazy turns out, pretty sure he is going to give us a run for our money
Despite his face in this picture he loves looking at himself on the phone. I don't know why but he gets really excited.
He likes to play on the floor with is brother. Seems dangerous but whatever.
He does not want us to feed him. this is a bit of a problem because he doesn't quite have the dexterity to get the food out of the container, but he can put the spoon in his mouth and hand it back.He is great at the mini pushup. I'm pretty jealous of is upper body strength
they like to play boat... he is willing to participate for awhile.
