Getting Ready to Share a Room
We thought with Grace coming this might be the perfect time for the boys to share a room. Michael has a giant room and always wants someone with him, so who better to share with him then the kid across the hall. I thought the transition might go well, we would try it until midnight a few times and then move Zach in. No... We also thought we might do bunk beds, yeah that was a double no, It was really just asking for an emergency room visit. So we settled on splitting the room in half. As you can see one side is space and the other side is empty (but will soon be diggers). Guess what, this is not going well. Michael has done better about sleeping through the night, but Munchkin, the good sleeper cannot fall asleep with someone else in the room. The other night I got back from something and found Michael passed out in his bed covered in a pile of stuffed animals, legos all over the floor, and Zach jumping on the bed.... they had been put to bed 2 hours previously. Needless to say Zach was removed from the room and within maybe 2 minutes he was fast asleep in his own bed. We are hoping that when his bed magically appears in Michael's room he will be inspired to go to sleep instead of dumping legos, jumping, running, or any number of things that are not sleeping.
On the night they did fall asleep in the same room this is what I found. Zach's tiny bed was abandoned and they were both crammed into Michael's twin bed.
