A Zachy Update

Zach likes to refer to himself as "Zachy Pooker". He is a funny kid. Zach has had a bit of rough time lately. He misses school, his friends, being in charge, being the biggest kid at home, and having some time to himself. He's adjusting ok to having Michael home, but I think a part of him really wants September to be here quick!

Zach is hilarious and independent, he also HATES having his photo taken, so yeah.

He loves the "You're Welcome" song from Moana, and if you pretend not to listen he can sing the entire thing.

He still loves PupPup.

He keeps his room "vacuum ready", which means there is nothing on the floor. He gets really ticked when his brother ruins that.

He's trying to skip naps, but sometimes he's just too tired to continue. We've been at the pool or the park more than once and he plops down and says "mom I need to nap!"

He can't decide if Grace is the "best girl ever!" or the worst thing to ever happen to him.

He loves trail mix, random I know. He also likes squash, corn on the cob, salad, and cauliflower. He loves cheesy bean tacos (basically a bean burrito in a hard taco), the DVD player in our minivan, and milk with strawberry syrup. He is always trying to trick me into taking him to In'N'Out. He loves parks and pools, and is so excited for swim lessons.

Zach is the toughest person I know. He's had a rough month, he got 20+ fire ants, fell off a ladder (or jumped) and had to get an X-ray, and then got stung by a wasp. It was a long Benedryl filled week.

He loves his church class, and has decided that his best frenemy, Mason, is actually his best friend.

He loves books and songs at bedtime, is fully potty trained (like through the night), and expects an apple juice every single morning. His current favorite books are Brave Potatoes, Dragons Love Tacos, and anything to do with ninjas.

He loves to point out who he is in every book and movie. This makes the stories and movies take longer, but it is so cool to watch his cute imagination at work.

He can be quiet and shy or CRAZY. He has developed a sensitive side lately, and will scream when Michael hurts his feelings.

He says the best prayers and volunteers to say them every single time. I want to take credit, but it's all him and his awesome Sunbeam teachers.

Crazy Zach we love you!

Homemade ice cream mustache
His summer shirt. Zach loves dinosaurs and green. He constantly reminds me that his favorite color is green.
Not loving the picture taking, but he was pretty stoked to show me he could do a thumbs up.
The back of the shirt gives him super powers.
He loves to attack Brian, Michael, and Grace. This is what scripture time looks like at our house... let's just say Zach keeps us on our toes.
He loves baths. Grace was taking a bath alone and the next thing I knew he was naked and jumping in!
He LOVES the DVD player in the minivan. This works 1 out of 10 times, but he's not deterred by the odds.
He loves to play fire station, really anything with little figures. The fire station is a favorite. He was willing to let Michael and Grace play the other day. This didn't last long, but it was sweet that he tried to teach them.
He still loves milk, he requests it all the time. As you can see when he makes a request, the siblings tend to follow suit. I love that he still calls it a "frosty milk".

He's convinced that he's a Slytherin, he's totally wrong, he's a Gryffindor through and through.
He refuses to take a good photo.
 He loves the tree house.
He has no fear when it comes to swimming. His one problem is that he gets too hungry and cold (that's going to change since the pool feels like a bathtub at this point). He loves to swim, eat, just hang out.
He loves super hero t shirts, backpacks, and driving Michael batty.
He also loves to harass Grace.
He LOVED touch a truck. He got right up and started making the sounds. he told me he is going to be a construction worker when he grows up so he can drive the big trucks.
He hates being little. He was pretty sad to be shorter than the tires.
If he had the chance he would have driven away.
He REALLY wanted to climb up the huge ladder, thank goodness that wasn't an option. This was after falling off a regular ladder. No fear.
22 fire ant bites on one hand. He stuck his hand in the nest... this isn't the first time he's learned that lesson.
He loves to hang out with Gracie. He is really starting to like being the big brother.
His favorite place is In'N'Out, he likes to trick people into taking him there, preferably without Mikey so he can hold it over him. He always needs a "cheesy burger" and a shake.
Ready to swim. He is willing to wear floaties, but I think that will change after swim lessons.
He's a pretty creative lego builder.

He wants to be a ninja, this is a tough ninja face.
Seriously with the pictures, instead of smiling he opted to show me his gum. He finally learned not to swallow the gum!
He loved Grace's balloons more than she did!
He claimed the green one for himself and kept it in his room. He also claimed the green party hat, he told me it was his "Trolls Hair".
Look how excited he was about the hat. He made everyone wear one, and he kept his on all day!
His Green balloon and hat.
 She doesn't love this
He LOVED gymnastics, he was so sad to see it end, but he's going to be so excited when we start back again in the fall.
Sad face about the end of gymnastics.
He absolutely loved preschool. There wasn't a day he didn't want to go or that he didn't love it. He keeps asking when school starts again.
His cute class. Despite his angry face he LOVED school.
He finished his first season of baseball, he didn't love this as much, but he will eventually. He LOVED the medal.
