Mr. Michael Update

What can I say about this cute kid, oh wait he isn't cute anymore, he's handsome.

Michael is a giant, we wear the same socks, he is constantly trying to steal my flip flops because they "almost" fit.

He loves science and art. He loves to color, even if it means coloring the same picture over and over. he is starting to branch out and create his own pictures. His imagination is awesome, I need to photograph some of his pictures. He designed the back of the shirt himself, he was pretty stoked.

He can read! It is so excited, way to go smart kid (and awesome teacher). He doesn't like to read yet, so that is something we are working on. He loves to be read to, and I think he likes to read to his siblings, so I think it will come with time. He got all E's in Riggs (what his school called reading/language arts) this past year, and an award for his hard work. He also got an award for history, he was super excited since he was one of two kindergartners that got it. He loves to stand out as the best.

He has a lot of energy and passion for life. I am trying to learn to work with this, so far it is a really hard process for both of us, but we are doing us to keep him busy and occupied this summer.

He is a great big brother. He loves to work out for Grace, and has moments where he gets along with Zach.

He has a great imagination, he's always inventing something in his head to be played out later.

He loves to get out of the house and see friends. When he wants to, he is a great helper and makes this so much easier... when he doesn't want to help things are rough.

He loves to learn, right now he is super excited about dinosaurs, his knowledge of dinosaurs is amazing!

He has a great level of confidence in himself and his abilities. I hope as he grows and learns this will temper but stay there.

He is great at making friends, this was one of his favorite parts about kindergarten- all the kids.

He loves authority figures. He adored Ms. Deviney, his kindergarten teacher. He is going to switch schools next year, I know he is both excited and nervous but he is going to do great.

He loves to swim, he can "dive" for hours and hours. He can swim without floaties, I am excited to see what he learns at swim lessons this year.

He does great dances, he still is excited to dance and it's adorable. He learned how to square dance at school this year and taught our whole family.

He loves bossing Zach around, luckily Zach is tough and fights back. He likes to invent games for the two of them to play together, he is starting to involved Gracie.

The summer heat doesn't bother him in the slightest. While I am hiding from the weather until October, he seems to love it.

He loves splash pads, something about being outside and being able to be crazy appeals to him.
He can be great peacemaker when he wants to be. He can lift Grace and move her away from Zach when he gets too mean, this has been great.
He loves Harry Potter and Perler beads. He made this one, he was sure to add in the red scar. he informed me that this is "Gryffindor Michael".
He has loved the tree house. He's been out there "helping" Brian the whole time.

Perler bead fun! This has been great project for him... as long as Zach is sleeping.
He likes to make sure that Grace is included in the activities.
He's always trying to snuggle Grace (Zach tries to twist off her arm or crush her).
He is getting so big. He wanted to see how big he was in comparison to the scoop.

He's bigger than the tires, he was pretty excited about that.
He wanted to drive away.
He is great at jumping from one pice of furniture to the next. This makes a terrifying sound, but he's got some skills.
He's pretty intense... I have no idea what Zach did, but I guess it warranted yelling and throwing a pillow.
He loves Brian's new desk. He really wants to get a desk for his birthday.
Snuggling Grace!
He lost two teeth! The top two are wiggly too!

He's really supportive when Zach has breathing treatments.
He loves to read to Grace. She doesn't tend to interrupt the story like Zach.
He finished another season of baseball. I need to upload his videos, he improved SO much this season!
He did awesome at history night! I can't remember his line, but it had to do with Abraham Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation. His delivery was spot on!
Baseball ready. He didn't like practice, but he loved batting at the games.
He plays hard. He lives life at a level of intensity that I just cannot relate to. This shirt was brand new when the day started. Thank goodness next year he gets to wear normal clothes- no white shirts for us!
He did an awesome job learning to read. The score is the number of words he can read per minute. He had to get 52 to be ready for first grade. But the end of the year we were well above that!
