Zach Turns 1!

In the midst of all the craziness at our house these last few weeks Zachary turned 1.

We started out the day by greeting him in his crib. We woke up early that morning because we wanted to make sure and get donuts before Mikey headed off to preschool. Zach loves donuts so we opted to get donuts instead of a birthday cake, but since the donut shop closes at noon we had to go early that morning.

As always Zach was thrilled to see his brother.

He really wanted to take his puppy out with him. Sadly he didn't get to.
He sat on the floor while I tried to usher Mikey out the door to school.

He yelled at Mikey to hurray up.

We stopped at the donut shop and got the donuts for that night and a bag of donut holes, turns out Zach likes donut holes almost as much as donuts.

After dropping Mikey off at school and running to get Zach some new shoes we headed to the final walkthrough for our new house.
Eventually I had to go and get Mikey from school and then Zach had a great time at the new house, but until he had his brother, well... things were rough at best.
We went and ate lunch and then headed home for "naps".

After naps the boys played and played.
Zach got to open a present, these two cars that go on their own. He loved them and luckily there were two so he actually got to play.
Then we pretended that the couch was a trampoline until dinner.

After dinner we ate these! Zach picked the pink sprinkle (strawberry), Mikey picked the red (cherry) and the leftover two were for the parents. We got the boys two each so they could have another the next day.

We made sure to have broccoli for dinner since it is always a favorite with Zach.
As we expected it was a winner.

we also had "meat rolls". they were a hit too, Zach is pretty easy to please.
We had to take a photo with our cute sweet baby.
 so sweet.
I mean really look at this kid!
We stuck a candle on the donut and called it good.

He was really excited for the donut.

maybe a bit too excited to use his hands.

Pretty sure the donut was a winner.

Then we can him an age appropriate toy. Im pretty sure this wasnt actually actually age appropriate but he loved it.
