Baby Grace at the Hospital

Poor Grace getting a bath. Grace does not like to be cold or undressed... so she doesn't enjoy diaper changes or baths. This was pretty much true from the first time those activities were attempted. She did eventually do ok with the warmer.
 In the recovery room.
 Singing to Grace.
Grace does not enjoy being put down. She spent her first night being cuddled. She wishes that could continue always, but to be honest she's pretty sweet so she's been cuddled a lot through the night.
Sleeping peacefully.... notice how she is being held.
Trying to take a name. With the boys I took naps at the hospital. With Grace... not so much. It might be that this hospital didn't have a nursery, or that this was the third time around and I knew that I wouldn't get much rest at home so I haven't really attempted to get much at this point, but either way I think I slept a collective 8 hours in the 36 hours I was in the hospital.
Ok but look at this sweet face.

 Hilarious hat with a bow

 She has hair!!
 Lots of hair.

She doesn't look thrilled with the hat, but really it was just so cute and she is so cute that it had to be done.

She has a pup pup! It took months for Zach to pick this out for her, let's hope she loves hers as much as he loves his.
 sweet sleeping Grace
Trying to sleep. She likes to be held really really close and likes to be really really warm.
Brian found a way to wedge her, this worked for a few minutes but then she realized that she wasnt actually being held.
She did NOT like the plastic box bed. This is one of the few instances she was in the bed. The other times were when they transported her for her tests and when the pediatrician checked her out, other than that she avoided the box.
 Cute Gracy!

This is how we spent our time at the hospital
Going home! This is the third child to go home in this car seat.
The boys picked out an adorable outfit for her to wear home, but she didn't end up wearing it because she had to get her anklet cut off and we were ready to go home. She did wear it once we were home but honestly we live about 3 miles from the hospital so it seemed fine. She did ride with her pup pup.

Waiting to move to the recovery room.

Zach was excited to come and see Grace again. He came the next morning alone to see her. He was given a special big brother bracelet but the nursing staff and he was thrilled, he had a bracelet, so did Grace, mom and dad. Cleary we will be saving it. He brought Grace her pup pup and then proceeded to shove her pacifier in her mouth.

He loves his Grace Camille. He's pretty serious that her name is not Gracy it is Grace Camille and he informs everyone about it.

 Cute little fatso.
Look at that hair! This is about the point where we started to think that her eyes look a lot like Brian's dad- Randy. We will have to see them together to make the final judgment!

Michael also got to come to the hospital alone. He really liked the snacks and the bed. He liked Grace too, but he isn't quite as interested in her as Zach is.

Shortly after this photo Michael said- Mom can you hold Grace?

Grace meets Poppy in the delivery room. They arrived an hour or so after Grace.
 Auntie Em and her namesake.
