Baseball Ready
We are almost done with another season of baseball. It seems like we have already done a lot of baseball! Michael just finished his 4th season!
Since Michael's practices and Zach's games/practices were are the same time (ok 30 minutes apart, but in rush hour that's the same), I had been dropping Zach off at his practice with Brian and then RUSHING to get Michael to his practice on time. Our Monday nights have been BUSY! But Michael is done and Zach has two weeks left. Baseball has become much more fun as they've gotten older and their teams start to understand the game- Michael's games are even getting a bit competitive at this point- there are outs and everything! We are making them stick with it for at least a little while longer, it is just too great not to spend a few more seasons on the field.
Third season! We made the switch the the Leander Little League and it was awesome! It's really well organized and their fields are pristine. Seriously the Little League guy takes it really seriously.
Grace has spent a good portion of her life waiting on the boys at practice and at their games. She's a good sport but they are definitely going to have to return the favor.
Zach started baseball this season. It's adorable and pretty funny.
Seriously, look at that beautiful field with the shaded parent seats.
And here we are this season. He's so grown up!
First season, this kid is hilarious.
This is how we spend our Monday nights, driving from one practice to the next.
Yep no one loves the driving.
Zach likes to try and trick Brian to take him to In-N-Out after every game. Sometimes he is successful.
Michael had to go watch Zach tonight since he didnt have practice (season is over). He didnt think watching was all that fun...
Zach kept trying to come over to us.
He was much more interested in watching the game with me than playing it. At one point he hit the ball and I was yelling "run home run home!" and instead of running home he took a detour at third base and ran to me.
Grace was just relaxing before we got started, it's like she's done this a million times or something.
He escaped again.
Every time one of the kids hit the ball zach would run for it and throw it to first base. This was awesome...except he was the third baseman and NONE of the balls made it past the pitchers mound. But he was focused and fast. Brian was trying to tell him what the third baseman does, he wasnt that interested.
Running for the ball, no third base in sight.

This was Michael's first season. He was three and it was ROUGH. Everyone has gotten a LOT better and now the people on the field are limited to the coaches. It's crazy!
He had a rough second season too. In fairness it was probably 99 degrees when this game too place, not the most fun.Third season! We made the switch the the Leander Little League and it was awesome!
