Sick Kids
It happened again, we have a sick kid (and a slightly sick mom). Each of my three kid handles sickness in a different way, since their personalities are so different, this makes sense... right?
Michael is pretty much a champ. There are very few things that slow this kid down. He is a huge snotty sneezy mess(I mean it is EVERYWHERE) but he's pretty willing to go on with life as if things weren't happening. This is kinda gross, but kinda good. He doesn't want more sleep, medicine, or special foods. Sickness increases his crabbiness level a little bit, but let's be honest he's 5 and he goes from elation to anger in a matter of seconds. He plays, still refuses all healthy foods, and is even willing to go to school when you tell him that sick at home means no shows. He's pretty awesome.
Zach is also a champ but handles things very differently. He definitely wants more sleep, like a lot more. He wants to be in his bed, with his Pup Pup and wake up when he's feeling better. He requests medicine and juice, is a bit crabby, but will tell you the best thing to do is sleep it off. He wants to watch a bit more tv, but he also wants to play quietly with "his guys".
And then there is the girl. I love the girl so much, but the sick girl is rough. Grace makes the most pathetic cry scream while she is sick, throughout the day, throughout the night, any time you aren't touching her or within touching distance. She doesn't want food, medicine, or sleep. She wants to be cuddled and held. She does not want to play, she does not want you to go to the bathroom. She needs your undivided attention RIGHT NOW! And she likes to look at you and scream, as if it is your fault she's feeling crappy.
Guess which of the three is sick right now...
