California trip... No more flying with mikey

I flew to California with mikey today and I am vowing not to fly alone with him again, awful doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of our experience today. Anyway we are here and we are going to enjoy our trip, we are ready for some sunny ca fun!

The plane ride was... well not the best. There was a lot of hitting, biting, screaming, etc. We almost missed the flight, security was a disaster, and by the time we took off I vowed never to fly with him again. After a few days here I think it might have all been worth it, but we have a few days left so we'll see...
Our ride was a little bit late... Mikey handled it really well, I didnt. He did start to get a bit anxious but don't worry I had tons "pops pops" and he was thrilled. We had to stay in one place because we had too much stuff but all in all it eventually worked out. 
I rented one of these carts. you know the airport carts that you always see people with tons of luggage hauling them and always thought they were a rip off, but seriously $4 well spent. I didnt have to haul the stupid carseat (yes by the time we were at this point stupid was the right word) and Mikey was trapped, it was awesome. 

We always go on lots of walks in California and the first night I forgot just how cool Temecula is the evenings. We may not have been prepared for the ocean breeze. We improvised with a blanket, next time... we might be a bit better.
Mikey has all the california people wrapped around his finger. Lucky for him they had been waiting for him to come around for years and are thrilled to bend to his every whim whether it is a wagon ride, a walk in the park, or reading Go Dogs GO!

We are planning on having a very exciting Christmas at our house this year. We are super excited to announce (to all three people that read this that have already been told) that we are expecting another baby! Yay, the due date is December 22nd, so it is possible that we will actually have a very exciting Christmas, though in all honesty I am hoping for something more around the 16th than 25th.  We had an ultrasound today, and a few things. First off, I think this kid is going to give his/her older brother a run for his money. The ultrasound tech told us this was the most active baby she had ever seen, my response was pretty much, well you should have seen Michael 2 years ago. The baby is healthy, but... crazy. She had such a hard time taking measurements with all the flipping, flailing, and somersaulting. Baby Zach is Here!

Baby Zach is here! Zachary Henry December 16, 2013 8:41am 6lbs 14oz 20.5 inches Sweet guy, he seems so tiny compared to Michael, and so so tiny compared to how big Michael is now. I think he looks a little bit like Michael, especially his mouth. He has less hair and his eyelashes are lighter, but he is still adorable. I know he has the newborn grey eyes for now, but they look lighter than the pictures of Michael at the same age. I am curious to see what he ends up looking like in a few weeks! The three boys. I can't believe we have two boys! We have to have one token labor picture. And as there is only one this is the one that gets posted. More on the labor later, but let's just say I wasn't loving life at this moment, waiting for the doctor to arrive was the longest half hour of my life, but we made it so yay!  So these are out of order, but this is Zach right after he was born. Genius Idea

So I have this idea, I think it is brilliant, and I am really hoping someone reads this and 1. tells me someone has already done it and where I can access it, or 2. someone steals my idea and does it close enough to me that again I can access it. Ok so here is the idea, first let me describe the situation. You are a parent with small children and it is a cold/hot/rainy/snowy/windy day/, someone is contagious/your kid fell asleep in the car/your kids are having a meltdown and taking them out of the car and struggling with the 5 point harness might kill both of you and you need milk from the grocery store. Normally you would try and get it at a better time, send a spouse, live without, etc, but you can't because you need milk (or bread or eggs, pick an essential item), so you have an internal debate... am I going to risk it, am I going to pull them out of the car, run in, find the item, wait in line, and come back and struggle to get everyone back in or are we going to live without...
