Utah Birthday Party: Dragons Love Tacos

We decided that since we were going to be in Utah near(ish) to Michael's birthday that we should have a party for him- how often does Michael get to have a birthday party with aunts, uncles, cousins, and both sets of grandparents, AND grandpa suker? Not that often so we decided to have a party even though his birthday is a ways away.

Michael loves "How to Train Your Dragon" (Brian took him to the second one tonight), he told us he wanted a "Toothless cake" so we decided to build on that theme. Michael also loves a book called "Dragons Love Tacos", if you haven't read it you should, it is sorta hilarious. In the book dragons love tacos, and the only thing they like better than tacos are taco parties- so we had a taco party! Thank you Uncle Jared for picking up the tacos!

Sadly I didn't get a photo of him with his grandparents, or grandpa suker, or em and colin... oh well.

Taco bar, it was yummy.

The book that inspired the party. Really you should read it.
The cake. It was an ice cream cake and we stuck how to train your dragon toys on it. Classy I know. Alayna (9) decorated it, i think she did great.
see look at those cute dragons. Maybe it would be easier to see if I had used the right settings on the camera...
the cake was lit (again if i used the right settings it would have shown up better)
mikey wasn't sure he was going to get in there to blow out the candles.
Grandpa Randy got in on the cake action.
Grammy decided to walk over and see how the cake was going.

I guess I didn't take a picture of him blowing out the candles...
he was excited about the cake.

mikey got a present. guess what it was... a toothless! We gave the cousins their presents.... late but hey i think it's the way to go, have a party and give everyone a present.

 see it was toothless.
